From September 15 to 16, MOFCOM and CNCA sponsored training on export of organic agricultural products, 130 representatives from enterprises engaged in agricultural products export of over ten provinces and cities, commercial departments, and associations participated in the training. Experts in this field briefed domestic certification and accreditation system for organic products of and international development of organic food products, and some areas and enterprises talked about their successful experiences in developing organic agricultural products. Participants believed that export of organic agricultural products could improve quality safety and break through foreign techniques barrier, increase added value of agricultural products and increase income of enterprises and farmers.
Head of the Department of Foreign Trade said that export of China’s organic agricultural products developed fast in recent years, export got benefits, and quite a number of enterprises got certification of major import countries of Japan and EU. The Ministry of Commerce will joined hands with relevant departments to promote export of agricultural product, in the way of encouraging enterprises to apply for organic certification, enhancing rate of inspection and customs clearance, and providing info service.
